Chapter 79
The atmosphere in the air was indescribably thick.
Lu Ze’s eyes were as dark as ink, yet they reflected the light of the chandelier, with a brightness that could see through people’s hearts.
Si Guiyan’s eyelids trembled slightly, and his Adam’s apple unconsciously rolled up and down. The sound of him swallowing was particularly obvious in this quiet space.
He saw the smile in Lu Ze’s eyes.
Si Guiyan’s thin lips pursed slightly, dissatisfied with his own reaction.
Lu Ze strode forward, and looked down at Si Guiyan, who was leaning against the door. Seeing the vigilance hidden in the depths of his eyes, he couldn’t help but laugh helplessly. He raised his hand and tapped his forehead with his slightly wet fingers. “Aren’t you going to take a shower first, Brother Yan?”
Si Guiyan was stunned for a moment. He met the young man’s smiling gaze, and only then did he slowly come back to his senses, and nodded a little awkwardly and at a loss. “I’m going, I’m going now.”
Lu Ze tilted his head and watched his slightly messy steps, a warm smile in his eyes.
After entering the bathroom, the moment the water from the showerhead splashed on his head, Si Guiyan finally sobered up. He remembered what had just happened, and he held the wall with one hand and couldn’t help but pat his own head, feeling embarrassed.
He was in his thirties after all, and his image in front of Lu Ze was also that of an experienced and stable person. How could he be led by the nose by a young man in his twenties?
The hot water washed over his face, but instead, it washed away the embarrassment in his heart. Si Guiyan took a deep breath, and after composing himself, he walked out in a bathrobe. But he didn’t expect to push open the door and see Lu Ze sitting on the side of the bed. He saw him looking down at his phone, reading something.
Si Guiyan was stunned. “Why are you here?”
Lu Ze looked up. The person not far away was tall, and his bathrobe was loose, revealing a large expanse of his wheat-colored skin, and the firm and bulging curve of his chest muscles could be vaguely seen.
Lu Ze’s eyes deepened, but his expression did not change. “Assistant Chen said I could pick any room to live in.” He leaned against the head of the bed, and his gaze slowly slid from Si Guiyan’s still-wet short hair and that sharp and deep face, and he asked softly, “Can’t I live here?”
Si Guiyan looked at him. The young man was wearing a casual blue pajama set, with long sleeves and long pants. The pure cotton texture made his whole person look even more gentle and calm, but it also had a lazy and seductive meaning.
Si Guiyan’s expression was ambiguous. He just said, “This is my bedroom.”
Lu Ze nodded, but he still said the same thing. “So I can’t live here?”
Si Guiyan pursed his lips and, after looking at him for a moment, he looked away and just said, “You can live here if you want.” He paused, then added, “There are so many empty rooms in the villa. It’s not good to live anywhere, but you have to squeeze in with others.”
Lu Ze was smiling. “That’s different.”
Si Guiyan glanced at him and didn’t ask what was different.
The current situation was very dangerous. He always felt that if he asked this question, it would become even more dangerous.
Si Guiyan didn’t ask, but that didn’t mean Lu Ze was willing to let him go. He said slowly, “Besides, are you a stranger, Brother Yan?”
Si Guiyan sat on the side of the bed and was about to take out his tablet to deal with his work. Hearing this, his action paused, and he just said in a low voice, “Don’t mess around.”
Lu Ze let out a light laugh and knew when to stop. He looked at Si Guiyan’s lowered eyes, which were looking at the tablet, and the corners of his mouth curled up, and he stood up from the bed.
Si Guiyan sensed his movement and subconsciously looked up, his expression a little unconsciously cautious.
Lu Ze couldn’t help but laugh in his heart and asked, “Do you have a towel to dry your hair?”
Si Guiyan let out an almost imperceptible sigh of relief, and the next moment, he was a little annoyed. He lowered his head again and pointed to the bathroom. “There’s a white towel inside. It’s dry.”
Hearing this, Lu Ze walked inside. Si Guiyan’s fingers, which were holding the tablet, tightened and then relaxed again.
He had originally thought that Lu Ze was going to dry his own hair, so he didn’t pay any attention to it and forced himself to focus on his work. It wasn’t until the sound of footsteps and the young man’s familiar voice sounded in his ear, “Didn’t you say you weren’t working?” that Si Guiyan looked up. Lu Ze was standing by his side, one hand brushing through his hair, and his fingers were instantly wet. He raised an eyebrow. “Your hair is still wet, and you’re planning to work like this?”
Si Guiyan paused and subconsciously touched his hair. “It will dry on its own in a while.”
Lu Ze let out a light laugh. “It’s just a matter of wiping it a few times. Are you just going to let it drip here?” He lowered his eyes. “Let me wipe it for you, hmm?” he asked for confirmation.
Si Guiyan glanced at the snow-white towel in his hand and didn’t expect that he had taken it for himself. He paused and said in a nonchalant tone, “You can wipe it if you want.” But the hand holding the pen couldn’t help but tighten.
He heard Lu Ze let out a light laugh, and then the soft towel was placed on his head. His bangs were pressed down by the towel, vaguely obscuring his vision. Si Guiyan unconsciously blinked, and the words on the tablet were a little blurry.
He didn’t speak, but he felt Lu Ze’s gentle movements as he wiped his hair. The soft and cottony touch of the towel was against his skin, and he could vaguely feel the scorching heat of that large hand through it.
Si Guiyan’s neck couldn’t help but be a little stiff.
Lu Ze seemed to have sensed it, and the movement of his hand paused. He slid down a little and held his neck.
Si Guiyan’s heart skipped a beat, and his body couldn’t help but tremble a little. He turned his head and scolded, “What are you doing randomly?”
Lu Ze blinked, very innocently. “I just saw that you were too stiff, Brother Yan, and I wanted to rub it for you.”
He said, “Are you usually too busy with work, Brother Yan? Your neck is too stiff. You should relax properly.”
Si Guiyan was still in a state of shock. Hearing this, he looked at him warily and said, “No need.”
He lowered his head again, his voice muffled. “Just wipe my hair. Don’t touch me randomly.”
Lu Ze looked at his slightly red neck, a smile flashing in his eyes, and he very obediently agreed.
The movement on his head continued. His appearance made Si Guiyan a little reluctant, and he let out a light cough and asked, “Do you know how to massage?”
Lu Ze said, “I’ve learned a little.” As he spoke, the hand on his head moved slightly and stopped at a certain place. “For example, here, this is the Baihui point, which is mainly for headaches, insomnia, etc., and has the effect of raising yang and benefiting qi[1].”
His voice was soft and slow, and the movement of his hand was neither light nor heavy. Si Guiyan really felt that his mind was a little clearer.
Lu Ze’s fingers moved slightly and tapped around the Baihui point. “These places are the Shencong points, which are located one inch in front, behind, to the left, and to the right of the Baihui point, and are collectively called the Sishencong. They have the effect of calming the mind, waking up the brain, and opening the orifices[2].”
Lu Ze’s fingers tapped around, and Si Guiyan only felt his scalp tingle where his fingers had passed, and the fingers hanging by his side couldn’t help but tighten.
But Lu Ze seemed to be completely unaware. His fingers slid down from the back of his head and landed on the center of the intersection of his neck and shoulders.
“This is the Dazhui point, which is mainly for vomiting, coughing, and also has some effect on shoulder and back pain. And on both sides,” Lu Ze said, “is the Jianjing point, which is mainly for frozen shoulder, cervical spondylosis, and the like. For a stiff neck like yours, Brother Yan, you can press this point more often.”
Lu Ze’s voice was gentle and persuasive, but Si Guiyan was tense all over and didn’t hear what he was saying at all.
“Brother Yan?” It wasn’t until Lu Ze spoke again that he came back to his senses and let out a hum from his throat. “Hmm?”
Lu Ze let out a light laugh. “Don’t be nervous, Brother Yan. My skills are not bad.” As he spoke, his thumb slowly kneaded the two Jianjing points, and he asked, “It’s still early. Do you want to try it, Brother Yan? Just to relax.”
Si Guiyan wanted to say no, but he felt that to say so at this time would be to lose both face and ground. He gritted his teeth and said, “As you wish.”
Lu Ze said, “Then you should lie on your stomach on the bed first, Brother Yan.”
Si Guiyan looked up at him, his eyes slightly narrowed. Seeing that his expression was natural and not lewd, he composed himself and lay on the bed a little uncomfortably.
His head was turned to the side, and Si Guiyan’s voice was a little muffled. “Hurry up.”
But Lu Ze said, “This kind of thing can’t be rushed.”
Si Guiyan didn’t speak again.
It was March in spring, and the weather was not cold, so the bathrobe on Si Guiyan’s body was just a thin layer.
Lu Ze’s large palm was warm, and as it slid down from his shoulders and neck, he could feel the warmth of his palm through the bathrobe.
Si Guiyan’s side profile was caressing the pure cotton surface of the bedding, and he was a little uncomfortable.
But Lu Ze seemed to be completely focused. His fingers slid down from his spine and slowly landed on the area between the second and third thoracic vertebrae of his back. He said, “This is the Fengmen point. You usually sit for a long time and work hard, Brother Yan. Massaging this place can effectively relieve back pain.”
Si Guiyan let out a muffled hum in agreement and felt his hand wandering around on the muscles of his back. His mind told him to relax, but his body would always unconsciously tense up.
It wasn’t that he hadn’t had a massage before, but he had never had this kind of feeling.
The lights in the bedroom were bright, and they shone down from above on the dark-colored large bed. The silk bathrobe had a very good drape, and it outlined the smooth lines of the person lying on the bed to the fullest. You could vaguely see the thin layer of back muscles through the thin bathrobe.
Lu Ze’s gaze paused, and the movement of his hand also swayed. Si Guiyan’s hand, which was holding the quilt, tightened, but he thought that he had done it on purpose and didn’t say anything.
Lu Ze came back to his senses and, after a closer look, a smile appeared in his eyes.
“Here…” He pressed on the area next to his second lumbar vertebra and said with a hint of a smile, “is the Shenshu point.”
Si Guiyan’s brows furrowed in confusion, and as expected, he heard Lu Ze say, “It’s mainly for kidney deficiency and… impotence.”
Si Guiyan was stunned for a moment, then he suddenly turned over and threw him onto the bed, and his whole person pressed down on him, his expression dangerous. “Say that again?”
Lu Ze swayed on the mattress unexpectedly, blinked, and looked at Si Guiyan’s angry expression, and said with a light smile, “What are you so nervous about, Brother Yan? I was just saying that this point is mainly for the treatment of these conditions. I didn’t say it was you.”
“Am I nervous?” Si Guiyan let out a snort of laughter, and his knee slightly lifted and pressed against him. He sensed his movement and, recalling what had happened just now, how could he not understand what he was up to? “If you’re not nervous, why are you reacting so strongly?”
Lu Ze’s face changed slightly, and he let out a muffled grunt. He looked up at the person in front of him and saw that his face was full of ridicule, but a layer of red had appeared on the roots of his ears. He was stunned for a moment, and then he slowly relaxed.
He said innocently, “This is not something I can control. Besides…” As he spoke, his gaze moved down from his body. “Don’t you have one, Brother Yan?”
Si Guiyan gritted his teeth and raised his chin with one hand. “Where are you looking?”
“You little hooligan?”
Lu Ze blinked, and the smile in his eyes could not be hidden. “Since you’ve already called me a little hooligan, Brother Yan, then I’ll naturally look where a hooligan should be looking.”
Si Guiyan almost laughed out of anger. The hand on his chin moved up to his cheek and squeezed it, and his mouth bulged. “You’re quite proud? Why didn’t I realize you were so thick-skinned before?”
Lu Ze’s mouth was forced to pout, and his words were slurred. “Maybe this is my true face.” He said vaguely, “Do you regret it, Brother Yan?”
Si Guiyan sneered, “Regret what?”
Lu Ze said, “For getting involved with a little hooligan like me.”
Si Guiyan looked at him steadily and let go of his hand. “What if I say I regret it?”
Lu Ze said, “If you regret it, I’ll never bother you again. If you don’t regret it…”
He looked up at him, his eyes serious. Si Guiyan’s heart skipped a beat, and he subconsciously asked, “What?”
Lu Ze said, “Can I kiss you, Brother Yan?”
Si Guiyan’s hand paused, and he lowered his eyes to look at Lu Ze, who was lying under him.
Lu Ze said, “We agreed before that I have to get your consent before I can kiss you.”
Si Guiyan’s Adam’s apple rolled up and down for a moment.
Lu Ze’s eyes curved slightly. “If you don’t say anything, Brother Yan, I’ll take it as you’ve tacitly agreed.”
Si Guiyan’s gaze moved, but he didn’t speak.
So Lu Ze understood.
He raised his chin, and his lips moved closer to his.
…
The lights on the ceiling were swaying. Si Guiyan opened his eyes and looked at him in confusion. Lu Ze lowered his head and kissed him, his voice slightly hoarse. “I didn’t prepare anything.”
Si Guiyan asked, “What things?”
Lu Ze bit a word in his ear.
Hearing this, Si Guiyan paused, then slowly turned his head away and closed his eyes. “It’s in the bedside table.”
Lu Ze was stunned for a moment. He stretched out his long arm and opened the bedside table, and saw a small square box inside, but it was open. He poured out the things and counted, and there were two missing.
Lu Ze’s eyes narrowed, and his voice was a little cold and dark. “You’re in a good mood, Brother Yan.”
Si Guiyan turned his head and looked, and he also realized that he had misunderstood something. He was about to explain something, but he felt that there was no need to explain their relationship, so he said in a hoarse and impatient voice, “Are you going to do it or not?”
Lu Ze didn’t believe that he had anyone else. In any case, whether he used it himself or just played with it, his mood was not very good. He lowered his head and bit his ear, and said, “I’ll do it. Why wouldn’t I?”
He took one out and put it in his hand. “But I don’t know how to use it. Since you’re so experienced, Brother Yan, then you can do it yourself.”
Si Guiyan turned his head and glared at him in disbelief.
Lu Ze kissed the red mole on the crook of his neck and moved slightly. “Hmm?”
Si Guiyan’s face was flushed, and he gritted his teeth and took the thing…
…
The next morning, Si Guiyan woke up at his biological clock. He moved his body and only felt his back was sore. It had never been so serious even when he was young and practicing boxing.
Lu Ze sensed his movement and held him a little tighter in his arms. He unconsciously kissed his forehead, his voice low and hoarse. “It’s still early. Sleep a little longer.”
Now, when Si Guiyan heard his voice, he couldn’t help but think of how he had asked him over and over again last night how he had performed, and how it compared to the previous ones. Thinking of his disheveled appearance in the end, he couldn’t even get angry and could only turn his back.
Lu Ze opened his eyes. He also knew that he had gone a little too far last night. He placed his large palm on his lower back and gently kneaded it, and said in a gentle voice, “Are you still uncomfortable? Let me rub it for you?”
Si Guiyan struggled and slapped his hand away, his voice a little hoarse. “Get away from me.”
Lu Ze good-temperedly covered him again and coaxed him, “It’s my fault. You can do whatever you want. I’ll rub it for you, and it will be more comfortable.”
Si Guiyan covered his head with the blanket, too lazy to bother with him. But Lu Ze keenly saw that his earlobes were a little red.
A smile flashed in his eyes, and the force of his hand did not change. He asked, “What do you want to eat? I’ll go and make it for you?”
Si Guiyan said in a muffled voice, “I don’t want to eat.”
“You have to eat a little, otherwise you’ll be hungry later,” Lu Ze said. “I saw that there were still a few preserved eggs at home yesterday. How about I cook you some preserved egg and lean meat porridge?”
Si Guiyan didn’t say yes or no. Lu Ze added, “And some xiaolongbao, and a fried egg, okay?”
Si Guiyan finally spoke. “Are you treating me like a woman who’s just given birth?”
Lu Ze’s action of rubbing his waist paused, and his hand slowly slid to his lower abdomen. He thought for a while and said, “You don’t say… there might really be our child here.”
Si Guiyan threw a pillow at him, both angry and annoyed. “Go to hell.”
He kicked him down, and he also twisted his face in pain from the pull. He pulled the blanket up and said in a muffled voice, “Go and cook your meal.”
Lu Ze knelt on the ground, picked up the pillow, and looked at the person who was wrapped up like a silkworm, and patiently agreed.
…
It was still early. After Lu Ze had washed up, he first cooked the porridge, and then made a few xiaolongbao.
While waiting, he put the messy bedsheets and quilt from yesterday into the washing machine to wash. After everything was almost done, he pushed open the bedroom door.
The bedding on the bed had not changed since he had left. Si Guiyan’s breathing was steady, and he seemed to have fallen into a dream again. Lu Ze didn’t have the heart to wake him up. He took his laptop and half-knelt on the bed. He glanced at him, a soft smile on his face.
The curtains were open a crack, and you could vaguely see the weather outside. The sun was just right.
Lu Ze was dealing with his funds and stocks on the computer. Living off his wife was a matter of taste, but he couldn’t really have nothing. Otherwise, in the eyes of outsiders, it would only be a joke.
The sun rose bit by bit. At a little after nine, a message popped up on his phone with a ding-dong. Lu Ze subconsciously took it and muted it, but Si Guiyan was still woken up by the noise. His eyelashes trembled slightly, and his whole person unconsciously moved closer to Lu Ze. “Who is it?”
Lu Ze’s hand stroked his hair, and he looked down. “Sister Xiang.”
Si Guiyan half-opened his eyes and glanced at him. “Is there something she needs you for?”
Lu Ze said, “She’s asking me when I have time. She’s sorted out some scripts over there and wants me to go to the company to have a look.”
“What’s the trouble?” Si Guiyan was a little sleepy, and his voice was indistinct. “You can just have her come over.”
Lu Ze paused. He didn’t want to be separated from him either, so he agreed.
After replying to the message, he threw his phone aside and then looked at Si Guiyan. “Are you still sleeping? Do you want to get up and eat something?”
Si Guiyan turned over, too lazy to move.
Lu Ze said, “I’ll bring the food in. You can eat a little?”
Si Guiyan rolled his eyes at him. “I’m not disabled yet.”
Lu Ze held his hand and pulled him up. Hearing this, he smiled. “Then get up.”
