Aisalie sniffed, grinning through his tears and muttering to himself, “So embarrassing, crying in front of you.”
“Not at all.” Li You said. “Joy, anger, sorrow, pleasure—they’re human nature. I won’t tell anyone.”
Aisalie laughed. “Your Highness, you’re so interesting.”
“Yeah, I think so too.” Li You’s eyes curved.
The two wandered from the B section to the A section. At this hour, the library was mostly empty. They found a table to sit. From him, Li You learned a surprising piece of information.
Aisalie’s little uncle who loved mecha was Lude.
What a small world.
“My little uncle was great at school before. He loved mecha, but then he went to work on a remote planet.” Aisalie stirred his coffee with a spoon. “But I heard he came back to the Imperial Capital recently.”
Li You took a sip of milk. “Heard?”
“Yeah, my dad works in the Imperial Military. He said little uncle was back but hadn’t seen him. He told me not to tell anyone about it.” Aisalie said without any guard. “Said it was confidential.”
“Then why tell me?” Li You chuckled.
“You’re not just anyone! You’re Your Highness Youyou!” Aisalie got excited and nearly spilled his coffee.
Li You handed him a napkin and casually asked, “Your little uncle is so outstanding—why not stay on Prime Star?”
“No one really knows why.” Aisalie shrugged. “I was little when he left. I just remember he was in a weird state that year. He used to be so strong, but suddenly he looked like he’d had a major illness, and then he went to the remote planet.”
Li You pondered thoughtfully and said no more.
It was already early morning when they left the library and he returned to the Imperial Palace. After a busy day, Your Highness Youyou washed up, got into bed, messaged Li Ye, and quickly fell into a deep sleep.
The next day, he took the morning off and went to the Imperial Military again, handing the books to Hei Ying and asking him to pass them to Senior Lude.
Hei Ying inspected the books on the spot and delivered them to Lude’s confinement cell in front of Li You.
After delivering the books, Li You went to the Central Laboratory again.
Little Wan Sis still had not fully awakened.
According to personnel from the Imperial Military and the Central Laboratory, Li Yiwan was a key figure in the Kailenoa incident, and many things needed her confirmation.
But during a full checkup not long ago, the Central Laboratory discovered she had been infected by more than one abyss pollutant. Another deeply hidden abyss pollutant had a strong paralyzing effect.
In the worst case, this abyss pollutant might have been artificially implanted, most likely by the culprit behind the scenes. This type disrupted consciousness and was probably to prevent Li Yiwan from waking up.
Learning this, Li You felt a mix of emotions.
He stayed outside the sickroom until nearly afternoon training, then hurriedly packed up and left the Central Laboratory to rush back to the military academy training ground. But Teacher Moger assigned him to the rest area.
“Train again once those claws of yours heal.” Moger dumped a thick stack of books on him. “You need to cram culture classes. You’re way behind the others in this.”
Li You held the thick books, flipped through a few pages, and felt dizzy from the text. He looked up at Moger, who was drilling Class A students on combat techniques, and weakly raised his hand. “Teacher…”
“No negotiation. Exam next week—all closed-book on this content. Can’t miss a single point on mecha, equipment, or warships. Study hard.”
The stray hair on Li You’s head drooped. “Oh…”
In the past, Li You had not liked combat, and he disliked memorizing even more.
He felt like slacking off.
The entire afternoon, Class A’s students were trained like dogs, while Li You, sitting in Class A’s rest area, nearly drowned in an ocean of knowledge.
The senior students who had come to watch the freshmen training sneakily took a bunch of photos. Now that Starnet had relaxed its posting restrictions, they all dumped them online in one go.

Li You indeed couldn’t study anymore. His memory wasn’t bad; he could basically remember anything he’d seen or heard once. But to learn so much in such a short time and memorize it all perfectly—that was still a bit much for him.
The entire afternoon, his stray tuft of hair drooped listlessly, and his head spun from all the reading.
During dinner, his mind was still full of mecha operation rules, which made Moger laugh nonstop.
After evening self-study ended, Li You had originally planned to head to the library, but his brain really wasn’t up to it today, so he chose to return to the Imperial Palace to sleep.
The hover car landed on the docking platform. Li You got out and headed straight to his room. He opened the door and reached to turn on the light, but he caught a faint, familiar scent in the air.
He froze, slowly withdrew his hand from midair, took a step back, and his back pressed against a broad, warm chest.
Li You tilted his head up and, borrowing the moonlight from the window, clearly saw Li Ye’s face above him.
Their breaths mingled together. He wasn’t sure whose heartbeat was making his ears itch. He gazed dazedly into Li Ye’s eyes, his gaze shifting downward to the other’s lips, but he didn’t dare look for long. His lashes fluttered rapidly a few times as he softly called out, “Brother.”
Li Ye grunted in acknowledgment, lifted his hand, and cradled it in his palm, his fingertip rubbing over the back of Li You’s hand. “Does your hand still hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt anymore.” Li You lowered his head to look at his own hand, feeling the other’s dry fingertip rubbing it until it tingled. His cat ears popped out involuntarily, twitching once and again.
Li You shifted a bit to create some distance, stepped to the side, and turned to look at Li Ye. “You really rushed back, huh.”
Li Ye looked at him without speaking.
“Why are you in my room?” Li You pinched his knuckles. His wandering gaze swept over the other once, meeting his brother’s calm yet intensely burning eyes. His heart jolted sharply. He fell silent, pursed his lips, and met the other’s gaze.
It was just one look, but Li You felt like he’d been stripped bare and devoured.
And it was merely that one look—he really almost got eaten by his brother.
Li Ye grabbed Li You’s waist and lifted him up, setting him on the cabinet by the door. He wrapped his arms around Li Ye’s neck. His breath was blocked, completely taken over by the other.
Li You’s legs went weak. He clung to his brother, his lips parted. He heard the blush-inducing sucking sounds of the kiss, accompanied by shameful wet noises and messy breathing from who-knows-where.
It was probably his own, because when Li Ye released his lips, he even had the leisure to remind him, “Breathe.”
Li You’s lower lip was red. His brother’s fingertip pressed and rubbed it a few times before kissing him again. He tilted his head back, closed his eyes, his tongue numb and his whole body tingling. When he couldn’t hold his breath anymore, he pounded on Li Ye’s shoulder.
Li Ye cupped his face and looked at it. His cheeks were flushed with two red patches, his eyes dazed and hazy, making him look silly.
Li Ye lightly patted his face. “Getting silly?”
Li You stared at Li Ye’s face, leaned in, and nuzzled the other’s face lightly like a little kitten. His breathing was still ragged, but he still murmured softly, “Brother…”
“…” Li Ye’s throat bobbed as he pressed his forehead against the other’s. “Why are you acting like a cat now?”
“I’m a cat to begin with.” Li You grinned foolishly and rubbed his ear against the other. “You need to groom my fur for me. I’m shedding pretty badly.”
“In a bit.”
“Okay.”
Though Li You felt embarrassed, the sensation of his first kiss was surprisingly addictive. He kept wriggling and rubbing against Li Ye while hanging on him, until his brother held him still.
“Don’t move.”
Only then did Li You suddenly sense something off. He sat up straight and looked down at the spot his knee was pressing against. He was instantly shocked, his face flushing hot. He glanced up at Li Ye, whose face was calm but whose jawline had tensed, and without any sense of propriety, he nudged his knee a bit. “Bro, this part of yours seems about to explode.”
“…” Li Ye closed his eyes briefly, pinched Li You’s chin, and lowered his head to seal his mouth fiercely.
