Chapter 50: The Pure Kiss Edition

Li You was picked up like a kitten by the scruff and tossed into the bathroom by his older brother. He had originally wanted to tease the other a bit more, but he realized that if he kept it up, something might really happen.

After Li You finished showering, he pushed open the door and went out. He saw that his older brother was still in his room. Li Ye sat on the sofa handling work, with a light screen projected and enlarged. It displayed the empire’s war zone topographic map, with quite a few points marked in red, though some had been crossed out.

Li Ye propped himself up on the sofa with one arm, half-closing his eyes as he looked at the light screen, while his other hand slowly tapped lightly on his knee.

Li You watched for a while but didn’t disturb him. He quietly turned and went to the nearby balcony. He placed both hands on the balcony railing, closed his eyes, and felt the cool night breeze.

His short hair dried easily, and he had no intention of using a hairdryer. That thing had a mute function, but his older brother’s perception was very strong— even the slightest noise would catch his attention.

No hairdryer was fine; the night breeze worked perfectly.

With his eyes closed, the night breeze kissed Li You’s cheeks, bringing the scent of flowers. He unknowingly grew drowsy, yawned, and reached up to touch his hair. It was almost dry.

Just as he planned to turn around, a warm breath enveloped him from behind. Li You’s back pressed against a broad chest. He instinctively tilted his head back, his head resting on Li Ye’s left shoulder. The other’s arms circled around from behind, pulling him into an embrace.

Li Ye lowered his head, his lips brushing Li You’s neck. His arms slowly tightened, locking Li You in his hold.

His neck tickled from the warm breath, so Li You turned his face slightly, his cheek pressing against Li Ye’s side face. He just quietly leaned against the other like this, his breathing slowing while his heartbeat quickened. After a long while, he softly called out, “Brother.”

“I heard from Hei Ying that you sent some books to Lude?” Li Ye asked.

“Yeah, I remember Senior Lude really likes mechs. His mech class scores were always at the top during his time at the military academy—very impressive.” Li You paused quietly for a moment before sharing his thoughts. “Bro, I’ve always believed that the two seniors didn’t betray the empire, but I have no evidence and can’t clear their suspicions.”

Li Ye quietly waited for him to finish.

Li You turned around to face Li Ye, wrapping his arms around his waist. “I want to try handling it my way and talk to them.”

Li Ye knew Li You was soft-hearted and understood that Li You wanted to get to the bottom of this. Of course, this involved the Kailenoa incident, which was extremely serious in itself. If Li You didn’t get involved, the empire would take measures to interrogate and investigate Jason and Lude, even using any means necessary.

Li Ye looked at the youth before him, whose eyes held a smile. His gaze dropped to the other’s lips, growing much deeper. “I’m not looking down on you.”

“Jason and Lude have years of practical combat experience.” Li Ye told him. “You know better than me—they’re very outstanding.”

Li You fell silent and nodded. “Yeah, the two seniors are very outstanding.”

“So, the very awesome Your Highness Youyou.” Li Ye lowered his head, their foreheads touching. His voice deepened a bit. “Until you gain enough experience to surpass them, protect yourself well. Don’t leave my sight.”

“…” Li You’s lips brushed Li Ye’s lips, a fleeting touch like a dragonfly skimming water. He pursed his lips and let out a soft “mm,” his lashes fluttering lightly. In a small voice, he asked, “Brother, do you want to kiss me again?”

Li Ye gazed at him quietly, but the hands gripping Li You’s waist unconsciously tightened a bit.

Li You’s eyes sparkled brightly, looking innocently pure—like a young deer. When it looked at someone with those pretty, clear eyes, it always gave off a soft, easily bullied vibe.

But this little deer actually had quite a personality. Rub it roughly, and it would throw a little tantrum—thunderous but with little actual anger, no real intimidation, but enough to make one’s heart itch. It made one want to bully him even more.

Li Ye’s thoughts were pulled by those pretty eyes. The bold Li You took the initiative and kissed him, but Your Highness Youyou wasn’t very good at kissing. He was clearly like a cat—kiss once and pull away, rubbing his nose lightly against Li Ye’s nose. Imitating, he nibbled Li Ye’s lower lip, teeth grazing gently. Perhaps retaining a cat’s instincts, he even subconsciously licked the corner of Li Ye’s lips.

Then, Li Ye’s kiss blocked him.

Compared to Li You’s playful, light kisses like a game, Li Ye’s kiss matched his style—extremely aggressive. One hand clasped Li You’s waist, the other pressed the back of his head. His fingertips slowly rubbed Li You’s neck, just like holding a kitten.

Soft hums escaped his mouth, but with the back of his head held and his body completely confined, he couldn’t break free at all.

He heard the sucking sounds of the kiss, heard his brother’s slightly heavy breathing, heard his own chaotic heartbeat. It felt like stepping on clouds—even though breathing was a bit labored, his scalp tingled with pleasure.

Finally, his brother let him go. When their lips and tongues parted, a glistening thread pulled between them, sliding down to stain Li You’s lip corner. He felt a bit dizzy and stared blankly at his brother, letting the other wipe his lip corner with a fingertip. His slightly parted lips slowly closed, and he smacked them lightly—as if savoring the taste. In a dazed, cat-like manner, he flopped against Li Ye, his nose tip rubbing the other’s Adam’s apple. In a small mumble, “Bro…”

“You smell so good.”

Li Ye’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He gently scooped up the Li You clinging to him, carried him back to the room, closed the balcony window with one hand, then returned to the sofa with one arm around him. He sat down, held Li You without letting go, and continued working just like that.

Li You dozed off on Li Ye. He adjusted his position, then simply straddled his brother’s lap, facing him in an embrace. Li You was completely buried in the other’s arms.

Li Ye worked very late, and Li You fell asleep while keeping him company.

In the early hours, Li You woke up. He turned his face and found his brother still handling work. In a small voice, he said, “You really didn’t need to rush back so urgently. Aren’t you tired working this late?”

As he spoke, he sat up a bit straighter, cupped Li Ye’s face with both hands, and met his gaze. Tilting his head, he looked into Li Ye’s eyes, then curved his own into a smile. “Brother, your eyes are so pretty.”

He leaned up to kiss Li Ye’s brow, then buried his head and closed his eyes against the other’s shoulder. “Am I disturbing your work like this?”

“No.” Li Ye pulled the military jacket draped over Li You a bit higher and told him, “It’s fine for me to stay up late. You sleep.”

Then he asked, “Is this comfortable? Want to go to bed?”

Li You shook his head, burying his face into the crook of the other’s neck. “No, I’ll keep you company.”

Yawning with a smile, he said, “I’ll keep you company even while sleeping.”

“Mm.” Li Ye patted his back. “Sleep then.”

Li You slept soundly. He didn’t know if it was because both he and Li Ye had been affected by the A-187X Crystal, but when they were close like this, they seemed to influence each other positively—Li Ye’s condition improved, and Li You’s sleep and mood got better too.

The next morning, Li You woke refreshed. Of course, his body was a bit sore. The sleeping position wasn’t exactly conventional, so back and waist pain was normal. After getting up and moving a little, he recovered quickly.

Li Ye looked at him and reached out to tuck the hair by his ear behind it. “I promised you—when I have time, I’ll train with you. Remember, when I get back, I’ll check your training progress.”

Li You immediately went on alert. “You came back early—that doesn’t count. It has to be in five days!”

“Then five days it is.” Before withdrawing his hand, Li Ye pinched Li You’s earlobe. “Go on, attend class properly.”

“I’ll watch you leave.” Li You pushed Li Ye into the hover car, stood outside waving his hand. “See you at noon.”

The hover car departed. Li You puffed up his spirits and turned around—only to meet many pairs of sparkling eyes, including Aisalie’s.

Li You smiled and walked up to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Aisalie. “I’m heading to the training grounds. Where are you going, Senior?”
