Chapter 28: The Confession

Iman brought Mo Han to the fifth-floor mecha showroom. Here, models of all existing S-Class intelligent mechas in the empire were displayed, along with their detailed manufacturing blueprints. Among them was the blueprint for the First Prince’s mecha, Chongming.

Mo Han was keenly interested in Chongming. Following Iman’s introduction, he examined Chongming’s design concepts.

Brian was indeed a genius mecha designer. He had conceived Chongming as a transformable mecha. The metal material of its wings was unique, capable of retracting and extending at any moment. Facing concentrated heavy firepower, it could instantly shrink its frame, carrying its master in a nimble escape through dense enemy fire. During an offensive, it could instantly unfurl its wings, letting the weaponry beneath sweep across a 180-degree zone ahead, obliterating all surrounding enemies cleanly.

After reviewing Chongming’s design philosophy, Mo Han couldn’t help but admire Mr. Brian’s level of mecha manufacturing expertise.

Regarding Chongming’s intelligent system, a backup was also stored here. Such confidential files were usually not shown to outsiders, but Iman trusted Mo Han immensely and proactively opened the backup document, allowing Mo Han to see a partial outline of the system. Naturally, the core contents would require authorization from either Brian or Chongming’s master to access.

Mo Han sat down, intently studying the structure and logic of the intelligent system.

Unlike Fengyang Group’s path of household management mechas, Brian’s company mostly produced combat mechas, all supplied exclusively to the Military and the Royal Family. Thus, the design philosophies differed greatly. Their company employed several exceptionally skilled intelligent engineers, some of whom were even professors at Herman University. Mo Han held deep respect for these senior figures. Looking at the exquisitely precise, seemingly flawless system architecture template, he felt a thrill of excitement, like an explorer discovering a new continent.

Mo Han was engrossed in the system architecture, while Iman continued explaining the mecha design concepts nearby. The atmosphere between them was harmonious; occasional shared smiles made the scene appear particularly compatible and pleasant.

Luo Fei found, to his dismay, that he simply couldn’t interject.

The feeling was profoundly uncomfortable.

The person he had feelings for was chatting so happily with someone else, while all he could do was watch from the sidelines??

A surge of frustration washed over Luo Fei, making him want to toss the thick-skinned Iman right out the window.

No, he couldn’t be this passive. He needed to turn passive into active and separate Mo Han and Iman as quickly as possible. With that thought, Luo Fei spoke up proactively, “Mo Han, let me treat you to dinner tonight? There’s a revolving restaurant on Capital Star that makes exceptional cuisine.”

Iman, having invited Mo Han over, had certainly prepared lunch. So Luo Fei wanted to prebook the evening meal and use the opportunity to talk with Mo Han.

Hearing the First Prince’s voice from behind, Mo Han turned to look at him, meeting his expectant and anxious gaze. The look in his eyes was almost like a child begging an adult: ‘Brother Mo Han, could you give me a piece of candy, please?’

Suppressing a laugh, Mo Han said, “Alright. Since the First Prince is offering, how could I refuse?”

Luo Fei’s eyes instantly lit up, like a child who had finally gotten his candy.

Ah, still adorably foolish.

Luo Fei didn’t disturb Mo Han further, and Mo Han continued his focused, earnest study of the mecha’s system. For him, being able to examine the perfect systems designed by these seniors was an invaluable learning opportunity.

At noon, everyone dined at Brian’s home. Brian personally prepared a lavish lunch.

After the meal, Iman took Mo Han to tour the headquarters building of the Mecha Association, with Luo Fei naturally tagging along the entire time.

It wasn’t until they finished touring the Mecha Association that Luo Fei spoke up. “It’s getting late. Let’s head to the revolving restaurant for dinner.”

Iman perked up. “Luo Fei, are you treating? Great! I haven’t been to that restaurant in ages either.”

Luo Fei: “…”

I didn’t intend to invite you. Don’t just invite yourself along so shamelessly!

But Iman’s skin proved thicker than Luo Fei imagined, sticking close to Mo Han with a grin, and together they all went to the revolving restaurant.

The romantic candle-lit dinner Luo Fei had envisioned turned into a bizarre threesome dinner. This ever-present, overly enthusiastic Iman was truly driving him insane.

Somehow enduring the meal, Luo Fei finally cut straight to the chase. “Iman, you head home first. I have some matters to discuss with Mo Han.”

Iman curved his lips into a smile. “Oh, I’ll be off then. Goodbye, you two.”

No sooner had he stepped out than he received a message from the Second Prince, Luo Ning: “How’s my elder brother’s attitude?”

Iman typed back, laughing, “Your elder brother was radiating disgust towards me, looks like he wished he could strangle me. He followed behind Mo Han like a little tail the whole day. You guessed right, there’s definitely something going on between him and Mo Han.”

Luo Ning replied, “Understood. You can pull back now.”

Iman responded, “Mm, he sent me away, saying he needs to talk to Mo Han about something. Who knows what they’ll end up discussing.”

With the massive third wheel finally gone, Luo Fei could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He immediately turned to Mo Han with a smile. “Mo Han, you’re quite interested in Chongming, right? Let me invite you into Chongming’s cockpit for a while. How does that sound?”

Mo Han naturally wouldn’t refuse such an offer.

So, Luo Fei proactively led Mo Han into Chongming’s cockpit.

The cockpit interior was very spacious. Luo Fei and Mo Han sat side by side at the control console.

Chongming directly carried its master and Mo Han, unfurling its colossal wings and soaring high into the sky, circling around Capital Star.

Mo Han looked down at the rapidly passing skyscrapers below, a slight smile on his face. “Chongming is indeed very fast.”

Chongming’s intelligence manifested as a small silver bird that alighted on Mo Han’s shoulder, its tone ingratiating. “Hello there, Mo Han! I’m just an innocent little mecha. Whatever grudge you have against my master, you absolutely must not damage my system. Mecha have dignity too!”

This majestic, large-scale bird mecha—its intelligence was actually this cute?

Suppressing a strong urge to laugh, Mo Han reached out and made a gentle patting motion over its head. “Understood. I won’t damage your system.”

Only then did Chongming feel relieved, the illusory little bird instantly vanishing.

The cockpit was an absolutely sealed environment. The mecha was currently high in the sky, outside the window an endless expanse of cloudless blue. It felt as if only the two of them existed in the entire world.

Such a quiet atmosphere made Luo Fei’s heart pound even harder.

Mo Han looked at him with a half-smile. “Senior, you brought me into your mecha’s cockpit. What do you want to talk about?”

Luo Fei’s face flushed instantly. Embarrassed, he rubbed his nose. “Cough, you’re still calling me Senior…”

Mo Han shrugged. “You’re two years younger than me, yet you made me call you Senior for all that time. Tell me, shouldn’t I get payback?”

Luo Fei quickly suggested, “Then how about I start calling you Senior, beginning today? I’ll pay back all the previous ones, okay?”

Mo Han said, “Barely acceptable.”

He paused, then fixed his gaze sharply on Luo Fei’s eyes, feigning anger. “And how do you plan to explain your previous deception?”

The sight of the blushing First Prince was quite endearing. Mo Han felt like teasing him a bit and wasn’t genuinely angry. After all, the First Prince’s disguise had lasted less than ten minutes before Mo Han saw through it. Mo Han had known everything all along; there was no question of Luo Fei actually deceiving him. It was Mo Han who found him amusing and thus didn’t expose him.

Under Mo Han’s stern gaze, Luo Fei hesitated for a moment, then seemed to throw caution to the wind. His expression turning earnest, he said, “I will never lie to you again. You’re so intelligent; I should never have tried to deceive you in the first place. I’d better just tell you everything.”

He cleared his throat and began explaining from the start. “The Imperial Royal Family has a tradition. An Alpha prince of eighteen years of age undergoes genetic matching. The Omega Association pulled my genetic data and matched it against all unmarried young Omegas. Among the results was an unfamiliar name—your younger brother, Mo Lin.”

“When I went to Lyra Constellation, it happened to coincide with your grandfather’s birthday banquet. Curious, I went along with my cousin to attend the banquet at your home. I concealed my identity, pretending to be Emile’s assistant, because I also wanted to take a look—to see what kind of Omega this Mo Lin, who had a compatibility over 90% with me, actually was.”

His explanation was logical and had already fallen within Mo Han’s predictions.

Mo Han nodded. “And after seeing him? I assume you’re not interested in Mo Lin anymore?”

Luo Fei admitted frankly, “I genuinely didn’t like the type of Omega your brother is—the kind that cries and makes a fuss.”

Relief washed over Mo Han, and his lips couldn’t help but curve into a smile.

It seemed his plan had worked perfectly. Mo Lin’s dramatic crying meltdown had indeed disgusted the First Prince and made Luo Fei completely lose interest in Mo Lin.

Just as he was inwardly congratulating himself on his scheme, he saw Luo Fei’s cheeks flush slightly. Luo Fei was looking at him seriously, his gaze earnest. “But after I met you… I fell for you.”

Mo Han: “???”

Thinking he must have misheard, Mo Han raised an eyebrow fractionally. “What did you say?”

His heart racing from confessing for the very first time, Luo Fei’s face was shy, the tips of his ears turning red. But his gaze was exceptionally gentle and earnest—

“Later, I continued chatting with you under the identity of a Herman University graduate because it felt more relaxed that way, with less psychological burden. I was afraid that if you knew I was the First Prince, you would keep your distance. I wanted to get close to you and get to know you as an ordinary person, to become your friend.”

Luo Fei looked into Mo Han’s eyes and enunciated every word clearly. “And the reason I did all this was only one. I like you.”

Mo Han: “…”

Mo Han had initially planned on teasing the First Prince and had maintained a smile the entire time.

But at this moment, that smile froze completely on Mo Han’s face. His whole body stiffened like a statue. He was utterly speechless.

He had lost interest in the Omega Mo Lin, and instead… ended up liking the Alpha Mo Han?!

Was this a joke? Had the First Prince’s brain short-circuited?!

Watching his master’s expression grow progressively darker, the mecha Noah couldn’t help but gloat internally. “Master, it seems you’ve played this game too far.”

Mo Han: “…”

When the First Prince Luo Fei turned 18, the database screened the genes of all Omegas across the empire. The genes of a wealthy merchant's only son, Mo Lin, showed over 90% compatibility with the First Prince. However, the moment Luo Fei met Mo Lin, he realized that this Omega was a sickly invalid—paralyzed in both legs, suffering from hemiplegia, and also had a severe mental illness???

After school started, Luo Fei encountered a familiar-looking opponent during a mecha competition. He looked exactly like a certain Omega—tall and slender, with a handsome smile—and he nearly trashed Luo Fei's mecha.

——What happened to the promised paralysis???

1. A feigning sickness and weakness, actually sharp-tongued queen-type bottom × a gentle, loyal puppy prince top; the top spoils the bottom to the heavens;

2. An Alpha-Omega pairing. This is a story where both the top and bottom are peeling off each other's disguises. A light and sweet story, no angst;

3. Regarding point of view, the story starts from the top (Luo Fei)'s perspective, but the entire story revolves around the bottom. Later on there's a lot of bottom POV, so I chose to list it as bottom-focused. Actually, the top and bottom have equal screen time. Just enjoy the story, don't worry about the POV issue, muah.
